iSense utilizes our patented Sense Engine™ technology. This product is the result of more than 10 years of research and development largely inspired by ideas of renowned linguist Prof. David Crystal. A team of 40 lexicographers and encyclopedists uniquely identified and classified the contexts for the entire English lexicon in all its meanings, which played a crucial role in developing Sense Engine™. Later, the semantic database thus created was converted into German and other European languages*. The semantic database of the Sense Engine™ contains all information related to human culture and language, including

  • sayings, metaphors and dialects
  • athletes, actors and other celebrities
  • places and important cultural information
  • key brands, companies and product series

  • politicians and political vocabulary

  • historical events
  • titles and names from music, film and TV

Just as the world changes on a daily basis, language is also in a constant state of alteration. That is why being dynamic and up to date are among the most important characteristics of a semantic database. This ensures that any important new events (Love Parade tragedy), inventions (Google Street View, iPads), and public figures (Barack Obama, Lena Meyer Landrut) are added to the database. This is implemented manually by an international team of specialized linguists who guarantee that the semantic taxonomy is up to date..

The Sense Engine™ continuously undergoes linguistic processing, which means that it is capable of precisely determining the latest content of every individual webpage.

To achieve this, the entire visible text of a webpage is scanned and matched with the semantic database within fractions of a second. In this manner, the system analyzes the contextual correlation among words to determine the webpage’s main topics

With its semantic analysis method, Sense Engine™ differs significantly from other targeting technologies, which merely identify individual keywords without recognizing the exact meaning behind the respective context.

Once the subject matter of a webpage has been defined, Sense Engine™ delivers advertising materials that exactly match the webpage’s content via the Ad Server
